POLARIZED HEADLAMPS

Visualization and Treatment of Skin Revolutionized with Polarized Technology

Would seeing below the surface of the skin help you? The polarized headlamp has revolutionized the visualization and treatment of skin by allowing physicians to see below the superficial layers of tissue. The ability to do so has increased procedural accuracy and reduced procedure time.

Polarized technology provides high powered, color corrected illumination with the highest quality optical filters to produce optimum light density for subsurface viewing at approximately 1mm below the skin's surface. This allows for superior targeting of vascular structures such as spider veins, hair follicles and other dermatological conditions. The cross-polarized technology also helps reduce reflective glare from the skin, which minimizes eye fatigue.

The v600 was invented by a pioneer in laser medicine, Rox Anderson, for the purpose of visualization of subsurface conditions like vascular and pigmented lesions. Reduced procedure time and improved accuracy are just a few of the benefits derived through better visualization of target tissues when using a laser.

What would happen if target veins literally appeared above the skin's surface during injection procedures? This is exactly what happens with cross polarization technology and subsurface visualization through the superficial skin layers. Visualizing veins has never been easier. Since illumination of the polarized lamps is also uniform, they are excellent when evaluating pigmentation conditions.

The well-defined illumination area of the polarized headlamp also keeps the light out of the eyes of your patient. In addition, light cooled by both a fan and an infrared filter minimizes heat damage to the patient’s skin (a common problem with most high-powered lights).
